About Us

Midline Dieticians

The practice services both the ‘in hospital’ and ‘out of hospital’ patients. In-hospital treatment involves the management of critically ill patients as well as providing nutritional guidance and assistance to patients with a range of medical, chronic or surgical needs. Outpatients are consulted daily, providing a service that covers a wide spectrum of dietary needs and concerns. The ultimate approach will always be using a scientific and nutrition-centred education to reach our patient’s short term and long-term goals.

At Midline Dieticians, we are passionate about creating and maintaining a good balance in all aspects of life and have compassion for the fact that we are all just human.

Even as a young girl I knew that I wanted to be in the medical field, and together with my love for food and cooking, this made Dietetics the absolute perfect profession for me.

I completed my degree at The University of Pretoria and went on to do my community service at Far East Rand hospital. Working with critical and surgical patients are specific areas that I personally enjoy the most. Nutrition has such a tremendous impact during these times in a person’s life.
I am very much an “everything in moderation” person and try to live as much of a balanced life as possible. Including exercise, healthy foods, family and possibly too much coffee.
I have always had a passion for food and some of my most favourite memories are set in the kitchen. My kitchen is my most favourite place to be and I am so excited to share this passion for food and cooking with my daughters, Lilly and Emma.

I am currently working on a recipe book for my clients and I am completing my Masters in Dietetics with the goal of completing my PhD as well.

I never knew what I wanted to be when I was older, but I definitely knew it needed to be something where I serve people. Once the world of dietetics opened for me, I knew that is what I want to do.

I studied at the University of the Free State and received my degree in 2018, followed by my community service at Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital (Joburg Gen) in 2019. In March of 2020 i started in private practice. My fields of interest include oncology, surgery, pediatrics and sport – what you put in is what you get out.

I believe food should be enjoyed and not something to always be worried about. Mealtimes are times you need to look forward to and not times that should be stressing you out, but I also know that this differs from person to person.

I am a very outdoorsy person and I love being active. My other interests include photography and baking (yes, even with sugar!)
