Try something different. This spinach cannelloni is very simple to make.
Any pasta sauce can be used or even tinned chopped tomatoes can be sued instead of a pasta sauce






Spinach Cannelloni
Ingredients
- 200 g Spinach, chopped
- 1 Onion, finely chopped
- 1 tub Low fat cottage cheese
- 1 jar Pasta sauce (any sauce that you prefer)
- Cannelloni tubes
- White sauce
- Salt and pepper
- 10 ml Olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180C
- Fry the onion in the olive oil until soft
- Add the chopped spinach to the pan and cover the pan allowing the spinach to wilt
- Add the tub of cottage cheese and salt and pepper to taste
- Transfer to food processor or blender with stick blender until smooth
- Place a small amount of pasta sauce on the bottom of an oven proof dish
- Fill the cannelloni tubes with the creamed spinach mixture and layer in the dish
- Cover the tubes with the remaining pasta sauce
- Cover with a some white sauce
- Bake for 40 minutes at 180C
